Podcasting

Podcasting, ipods, MP3 player - what have you learnt from your lesson with Irene Ireland? How could we use this technology in our class and for learning generally?

Do you think we could use podcasting in our upcoming story exhibition and aged care forum?

How might we use it in the community?

I'm very interested to hear your feedback on these questions.

This is a great and accesible way of sharing information. I liked how the steps were summarised on the board

It was great to have Irene this morning to teach us about Podcasting. It's unknown territory for me in terms of recording a sound file and then listening to it on a mp3 player. There is so much to learn and I must admit, I do have a little bit of information anxiety.... but it's all good; practising is the key!

Today podcasting was really interesting!i can't belive it's free!
it will be so helpful for things like interviews on the ABC or something like that for future research. It'll be alot more enjoyable to listen rather than read for a change.

Have learnt lots today, but really need to go through it again and again and again and again before it will actually go in.

It was a great lesson but I really still have no idea what I'm doing. I don't own and ipod as it is so I was unsure of how to use it. It was great to listen to other people's downloads. My computer would not allow me to download mine so I think that is how I got lost along the way. Great idea though.

Thanks Irene for showing us how to podcast. Am feeling more up to date with all the new digital media stuff (including these podcasts that I've never tried.

I found today's lesson with Irene really innovative and new. Her teaching was great and with simple instructions podcasting can be made easy.

I learnt some new technology and I will definately take it further when working in the industry.

I think we should somehow incorporate this new technology into more of our classes and different ways of learning.

The class on podcasting was very interesting. Irene is a wonderful teacher, very enthusiastic. The content was easy to understand and informative. Our class successfully downloaded our podcasts to the podomatic site, the iRivers proved to be useful digital recorders.

Perhaps we could look at making podcasts of the workshops at the conference and posting them on the Wiki site and also Northside Community Forum. The thinking behind this is tha some people may not have been able to get into see some of their preferred presenters. I need to give a bit more thought to how we could use the podcasting technology in a more general social sense, but I am sure that it is possible. The only limits are on the imagination.

Cheers

It was an exciting lesson today. Irene was an excellent teacher and very nice person. I tried really hard to follow the sequence but when it got to the 'aggregators' I'm afraid I got abit tangled up. Awesome!
