Tiny Teach Assessment

You have all done so well today. I observed a lot of energetic and engaged learning going on in our class. I would like us to share some of the teaching as a whole class. I know you have all prepared a handout so perhaps we could put it on our BLOG.

How was this experience for you? What have you learnt as a trainer? What areas would you like to develop more skills in? Please write some comments for the class.

Well done everyone. Terrific end to our term.

Have a lovely Easter

It was really interesting to 'tiny teach',it's funny how doing something can be so automatic for you and so foreign to someone else.

I had a great time teaching Kylie how to make a photo slideshow and post it on her blog. I think Kylie made it quite easy for me because of her high level of understanding... I might struggle a bit teaching someone who isn't quite as computer saavy :P

I learnt that to teach well you need to teach someone something as if you were also learning it for the first time. This was a good assessment.

The tiny teach was a great assessment. Doing it in three's allowed us to learn two new things rather than one, in a very enjoyable way.
As the teacher it made you think about things like, how fast you speak, being conscious of others understanding and the importance of using examples. More examples and scenarios would have maybe made it a little more effetive.
Right on right on.

It was very interesting to do this 'tiny teach'. all three of us had extremely different things to teach, which made it very interesting to listen too even if you were the observer.

It was great to practice teaching something. For me it was really important to have structure and guidelines to what i am teaching. It helps me stay on track. And just re-inforced the process i should go through in the preparation before teaching someone something.

A really interesting exercise, within a relaxed approach,it helped with reviewing and planning the night before what I was going to teach.
Carly's teach was so interesting and I have come away learning so much about Somalia. Thank you

I enjoyed the patience and clarity of my teacher Lou-Lou. I actually got a lot out of the session and the hand-out she gave me. Steve was a pleasure to teach Steve as he is a serious and relaxed student wowho doesn't mind a good laugh. I learnt while teaching

It was very interesting finding out about the 'fostering process' from Julie in her 'tiny teach'.
Julie was thorough and patient. She made learning fun. Thanks Jules.

I found 'tiny teach' a good way to practise communication skills aswell as taking on the role of teaching someone to do something foreign to them.

It was a good experience to do Tiny Teach. We were experimenting further things as we were facinated the topic and that helped me to develop more skills. Teaching is learning.

I found that I learnt from observing susan teaching jen, she was calm and organised.
I learnt from jen how to attach a file into email this was very succesful and I know that I will be able to do this myself and it will make life easier.

I enjoyed learning today about how to put a watermark into a word document. I love to learn about new ideas and then thinking about how I can apply what I have learned.
Cheers everyone, have a Happy Easter.

I really enjoyed our tiny teach. I was able to convey clear instructions to my student and they were able to follow them independantly. I found preparation was a key to making it run smoothly and I had to use step by step instructions so they could understand the process clearly. I also enjoyed being taught as I discovered something new which i will use more in the future.
